grilled maple bourbon glazed wings

Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs cut chicken wings

Rub:

  • 1/4 coconut or brown sugar

  • 3/4 tsp paprika

  • 1/2 tbsp kosher salt

  • 3/4 tbsp ground pepper

  • 1/4 tsp cayenne

  • 1/4 tsp onion powder

  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

Glaze:

  • 1/2 c bourbon

  • 1/2 c Stewart’s Maple Syrup

  • 1/4 c apple cider vinegar

  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • 1/2 tbsp kosher salt

Instructions:

  • Pat wings dry with a paper towel.

  • Combine rub ingredients and toss wings until well coated.

  • Allow wings to rest for 20 minutes (or while grill preheats).

  • Combine glaze ingredients in a medium sauce pan and whisk.

  • Bring glaze to a boil over medium heat. Reduce and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Set aside.

  • Preheat grill to 350 degrees.

  • Once preheated, grill wings for 20 minutes, turning frequently. Hint: unlike other grilling, keep wings close together/touching to retain moisture.

  • Toss wings in glaze and enjoy!

Tips:

  • Try this same recipe with boneless skinless chicken breast or ribs!

  • Toss in any of your favorite sauces.
