the green juice

Green juice seems to gets a bad reputation, likely due to its vibrant (and at times putrid) color. As with any juice, it’s important to balance the earthy, sweet and tart flavors to ensure an enjoyable result. This trusty combination is always a crowdpleaser (even with the biggest critics).

Ingredients (per serving):

  • 1 apple or 1-2 cups of pineapple

  • 1 cucumber or 2-3 mini cucumbers

  • 1 lemon

  • 1 in fresh ginger (or 1 tsp if grated)

  • 2 handfuls of leafy greens

Instructions:

  • Wash all of your ingredients.

  • Half your fruits.

  • Juice with your favorite juicer.

    (I have a Breville juicer, and I love it!)

Tips:

  • Juice your sweet fruits and liquid dense vegetables first.

  • Follow with your leafy greens and detox elements (lemon and ginger).

  • Give your juice a stir. Enjoy!
